The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often sassa status because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area every day. The support position made for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
